Schokoriegel oder...Ladies who turned 100 last week...

In Rodrigues letzte Woche.. - In Rodrigues last week...

Olive Jean wird 100! Und damit nicht genug, sie lebt zusammen mit zwei Schwestern, von denen eine bereits 103 Jahre alt ist, und wie man mir erzählte, die nächste im Bunde des Dreimädelhauses geht ebenfalls hurtig auf die 100 zu ... Wäre ich auf Madame Olives Geburtstagsfeier gewesen, hätte ich sie unter allen Umständen nach ihrem Geheimnis befragt...Ob sie z.B. auch jede Woche 30 Schokoriegel verspeist wie ihre "Amtskollegin" Peggy Griffith in England...Olive Jean turned 100! And not enough, she lives together with 2 sisters, one already turned 100 three years ago (imagine 103!) and the next one in that extraordinary household seems to keep spryly track of her older sisters too with 97 as I was told...If I had been on Madame Olive's birthday party, I would have certainly asked her for her secret...If, for example, she is on the same diet as her British " collegue in office" Peggy Griffith who is still eating 30 chocolate bars a week... Peggy Griffith hat Zeit ihres Lebens eine Leidenschaft für Schokolade besessen, in den 30er Jahren besaß sie sogar selbst einen Süßwarenladen, der jedoch nach 2 Jahren schließen musste, da sie all ihre Profite verspeiste...Die Liebe zur Schokolade einer bekannten Marke (gibt es übrigens auch auf Rodrigues!) blieb bis heute...Ich bin begeistert und frage mich nun , ob das auch mit Schokolade anderer Hersteller funktioniert, sollten Schokoriegelhersteller diesbezüglich an Testpersonen interessiert sein...Ich melde mich freiwillig! -

Since early childhood days Peggy Griffith has shared a deep passion for chocolate, in the 30ies she even run a sweet shop on her own which had to be closed already 2 years later as she lierally ate up all profits herself...The love for chocolate of a famous brand stayed..., by the way also available in Rodrigues...To be honest, I am thrilled and asking myself if this would work out with other chocolate brands too, so should there be any chocolate bar producers around be in need of test persons,...just count me in!
