Rodrigues hatte 2010 laut der letzten Veröffentlichung des Statistischen Zentralbüros 37 837 Einwohner, das sind 0.2 % mehr als 2009, 18 708 Männer und 19129 Frauen. Es wurden 713 Babys geboren, 8 weniger als im Vorjahr. !85 Ehen wurden geschlossen, 2009 waren es nur 173. Und 240 mal wurde gestorben, 2009 gab es 237 Todesfälle.Zum Vergleich: 2010 zählte Mauritius 1 281 214 Einwohner, 5 893 mehr als im Vorjahr.
Here the latest figures concerning the population in Rodrigues. 2010 we had 37 837 inhabitants, 0.2 % more than compared to 2009, comprising of 18 708 men and 19129 women. 713 babies were born and 185 weddings were recorded. 240 people died. 2010 war mal wieder ein Rekordjahr in Sachen Tourismus. So verzeichnete Mauritius letztes Jahr 934 827 Besucher, nach Rodrigues kamen insgesamt 46 903 Besucher, bei 40 350 Besuchern im Vorjahr ist dies eine Steigerung von 16.2%. Wir sind gespannt auf die Entwicklung in diesem Jahr!For Mauritius 2010 was a very succesful year in terms of tourist arrivals, not yet the magic million but at least with 934 827 visitors a 7.3 % increase compared to 2009. Rodrigues Island could attract 46 903 visitors which is an impressive increase of 16.2 % compared with the year before. We are looking forward to this year's development!
