Ich bin spät dran, das sollte schon vor halben Ewigkeiten gepostet werden, mittlerweile ist der Papst schon einen Tag im Ruhestand.Nun gut.-

I am late. This was supposed to be posted ages ago, in the meantime the Pope has experienced his first day of retirement.

Diese erste Woche im neuen chinesischen Jahr hatte es in sich. Kein Tag ohne Drama oder Überraschendes. Den Auftakt machte der Papst, der gleich am 11. Februar, an Rosenmontag also, seinen Rücktritt für den 28.Februar verkündete.Die Nachricht schlug wie der Blitz ein, der dann nur wenige Stunden später tatsächlich im Vatikan herniederging...-

This first week of the new Chinese year was a very unique week indeed.Not a single day without drama or surprises. The prelude was made on 11 February, Carnival Monday, by the Pope's announcement of his resignation for 28 February. The message struck like the lightning, which then  actually went down into the Vatican's Palace only a few hours later...

"Heiliger Strohsack! Morgen kündige ich!"
