Immer auf der Suche nach Bäumen, deren Blüten auch Bienen etwas zu bieten haben, stieß ich vor ein paar Jahren auf den Gelben Flammenbaum. Der Rote Flammenbaum ist bekannter, durch seine spektakuläre Blüte um die Weihnachtszeit herum, dadurch sehr beliebt...und was für mich noch bedeutsamer ist, zieht auch Bienen an. Dennoch, der Gelbe Flammenbaum steht diesbezüglich seiner roten Schwester in nichts nach, ich würde sogar soweit gehen zu sagen, dass Bienen hier noch mehr und nachhaltiger auf ihre Kosten kommen, allein schon weil ihre Blütezeit sich auf 4 Monate belaufen kann, aber vielleicht auch nur, weil ich einen günstigen Standort hatte und wirklich viele Bienen beobachten konnte. -
Always looking for trees with blossoms which also have something to offer to bees, I came across the Yellow Flame tree a few years ago. The Red Flame Tree is more famous, because of its spectacular bloom around Christmas, very popular ... and what is even more important to me also attracting bees. Nevertheless, the yellow flame tree is in no way inferior to its red sister in this regard, I would even go so far as to say that the bees might even find more nectar and pollen while foraging here, as their flowering period can extend to 4 months, but maybe I got this impression because I had a convenient location and could really observe a lot of bees. -
Toujours à la recherche des arbres dont les fleurs ont aussi quelque chose à offrir aux abeilles, je suis tombé sur l'arbre à flamme jaune il y a quelques années. Le Flamboyant rouge est plus célèbre, une raison, à cause de sa floraison spectaculaire autour de Noël, ce qui le rend déjà très populaire ... et ce qui est encore plus important pour moi, il attire également les abeilles. Néanmoins, le Flamboyant jaune n'est en aucun cas inférieur à sa sœur rouge à cet égard, j'irais même si loin de dire que des abeilles gagnent ici plus sur leur chemin, je ne pouvait pas dire exactement si j'ai eu cette impression à cause de la longeur de sa floraison qui peut atteindre 4 mois, ou à cause d'un emplacement beaucoup plus pratique et généreux me permettant une vue sur vraiment beaucoup d'abeilles.
