Sie heißt Malala Yousoufzai, ist 15 und kommt aus dem Swat-Tal in Pakistan, und heute ist es genau einen Monat her, dass sie auf ihrem Weg von der Schule von Taliban in den Kopf geschossen wurde.Bereits als 11 Jährige hatte sie sich öffentlich in ihrem Blog und und in einem längeren BBC Beitrag für das Recht von Mädchen auf Schulbildung eingesetzt, ein Recht, das ihr und anderen Mädchen in ihrer Heimat erstmal entzogen wurde, als die Taliban das Swat-Tal besetzten und die Schulen für Mädchen schließen ließen.Ihre Widerständigkeit war von den Taliban nicht vergessen worden. Malala hat überlebt und sie ist ist mittlerweile zur Symbolfigur für das Recht auf Schule für Mädchen weltweit geworden. Die Vereinten Nationen haben den heutigen Tag zum Malala Tag erklärt, ein Tag globaler Aktionen für das Recht von 32 Millionen Mädchen, denen noch heute Bildung und Schule verweigert wird.Und Malala..., ihr wünsche auch ich heute alles Gute auf dem Weg der Genesung, dass sie all die Bücher lesen kann, die sie lesen möchte. Dass sie ihren Mut und ihre Stärke auch in schweren Zeiten nicht verliert, die sicher noch kommen werden.Und ein wenig von der Leichtigkeit, die eigentlich zu Kindheit gehört...

Her resistiveness has not been forgotten by the Taliban. Malala has survived the attack and has now become a symbolic figure for the right of all girls in the world to education. The United Nations has declared the 10 November Malala Day, a day of global campaigns for the right of school for 32 million girls who are still denied education and school. And Malala ..., well, I wish her all the best today on her path of recovery and that she can read all the books she wants to read, that she won't lose her courage and strength even in difficult times. But I wish her also a bit of the ease that actually belongs to childhood ...
