Nein, nein, noch steht Valérie nicht in ihrer Küche um Kuchen zu backen... Dieses Photo fand ich per Zufall Freitag vor einer Woche in einem Blog in Frankreich, in dem bereits am 8. Mai ebenfalls viele gute Wünsche zu Valérie hinterlassen wurden. Eine andere Valérie, war letztes Jahr während ihres Urlaubs bei Valérie und André eingekehrt. Bei ihr fand ich auch den Link zu einem Artikel, der im Februar in einer mauritischen Zeitung ein Portrait von Valérie und ihrem kleinen Café bzw. Salon du Thé gebracht hat, dem "Havre Gourmand" und der erzählt, wie die beiden nach Rodrigues gekommen sind und die Idee eines solchen Cafés wuchs.Die Zeit zum Übersetzen fehlt gerade, ich werde das aber nachholen.-

Non, non, pas encore Valérie dans sa cuisine pour faire des gâteaux... J'ai trouvé cette photo par hasard le vendredi il ya plus qu´une semaine dans un blog en France, où le 8 mai il y avait également beaucoup de bons souhaits quittés pour Valérie. C'était une autre Valérie qui était l'an dernier pendant ses vacances à Rodrigues chez Valérie et André, où elle a pu déguster un jus de jamalac. C'est aussi dans son blog que j'ai trouvé le lien vers un article qui a été lancé en février dans un journal mauricien, un portrait de Valérie et son petit café/ salon du thé, le "Havre Gourmand", et qui raconte comment les deux sont venus à Rodrigues et comment l'idée s'est dévéloppée de se lancer dans la préparation des gâteaux et d'ouvrir leur "Havre Gourmand".Malheureusement il me manque actuellement le temps pour faire la traduction, mais un jour je vais le faire. Promis! -

Und nun heißt es einfach hinsetzen mit etwas Schönem zu trinken und sich freuen über die die neusten Nachrichten.

 Seit dem letzten Beitrag ist Valérie nicht mehr an Maschinen angeschlossen und die Ärzte sind optimistisch was ihre Fortschritte angeht.Sie verbringt viel Zeit mit ihrer Familie, sie kann sprechen, sogar Englisch, und sie erinnert sich an Details, wenn sie Besuch erhält. Gute Freunde konnten sie bereits selbst sehen.Die letzten Tage über war sie ruhiger, nicht mehr so aufgeregt. Mitte Juni wird sie noch einmal operiert. Wir halten weiter die Daumen und wünschen ihr alles Gute...und "backen weiter Kuchen" für sie. Mach weiter so, Valérie!

Et maintenant, asseyez-vous, buvez un verre et profiter des nouvelles.
Depuis le dernièr posting sur Valérie, elle n'était plus branchée aux machines et les médecins sont optimistes au sujet de son progrès.Elle est visitée régulièrement par sa famille qui consacre une grande partie de temps avec elle, elle peut parler, même en anglais, elle reconnaît ses amis qui ont pu la visiter au cours des derniers jours en se souvenant des détails spécifiques. Et elle était calme, pas si agitée comme quelque peu de temps avant. À la mi juin, elle va subir une autre opération, nous espérons que ca soit la dernière. Donc, nous continuons à croiser les doigts en envoyant comme depuis un mois des gâteaux pour elle, accompagnés par nos souhaits pour un vite rétablissement. Continue comme ca, chère Valérie, tu n'as aucune idée comment ces nouvelles nous rendent heureux!

Since the last entry about Valérie in the hospital, Valérie has been off all machines and the doctors are optimistic about her progress.She is visited regularly by her family which spends a great deal of time with her, she can speak, even English, she remembers details when being visited by a friend.and during the last days she was calm, not so agitated anymore In mid June she will have an operation, hopefully the last one.So, we continue to cross our fingers and continue also with our cake baking for her. Keep it up, dear Valérie, you have no idea how happy these news make us!

Since yesterday Valérie is not any longer in the Intensive Care Unit...!!!
