Les recettes de la soirée iront a son fils Braddy Rendez vous Samedi le 2 mai o recif a partir de 21hrs O programme Spectacle : Chant, Danse, Défilé des bodybuilders, motocyclistes et discotheque avec : nathalie couty,blacrod brothers,vallen pierre louis,angel art,dharel et jovani barbel gym,rod riders ect.... Tous cela va se passer devant le Recif,c graduit mais il y aura plateau a la porte pour votre genereuse contribution puis la soirée va continuer dans la discotheque avec plusieurs djs jusqu'au petite hr du matin.Entrée Homme 150 et dame Rs 100.

Venez en foule et donner genereusement...
Je viens de trouver cette invitation sur Facebook, et je trouve cette geste des amis de Roddy bien...Roddy Perrine et son co-équipier "Zhouk" Lino Jolicoeur étaient des victimes d'un accident fatal en mer pendant une sortie de pêche le 13 mars. Espèrons qu'il y a beaucoup qui viennent...

Am Samstag gibt es eine Musikveranstaltung am Récife, deren Einnahmen an den kleinen Sohn von Roddy Perrine gehen sollen. Roddy ist mit seinem Bootsmann "Zhouk" Lino Jolicoeur am 13. März bei einer Angelausfahrt tödlich verunglückt.Die Veranstaltung wird von Freunden Roddys organisiert. Ich finde, es ist eine schöne Geste und hoffe, dass viele an diesem Abend den Weg ins Récife finden...

Dies war laut yahoo gestern das am meisten gemailte Foto in der Welt, eine obdachlose Mexikanerin mit Mundschutz...Seit 3 Tagen erst spricht man von der Schweinegrippe, doch das Internet ist aufgrund der schnellen Verbreitung des Virus bereits voll mit Artikeln...-

This was due to yahoo yesterday the most e-mailed photo in the world, a homeless woman in Mexico with protection mask...Only 3 days of speaking about the swine flu but as the virus travels fast, the Internet is already full of articles...-

Cette photo était hier la photo la plus envoyée du monde, une femme sans abri en Mexique en portant une masque de protection contre le virus...Seulement 3 jours ce qu'on parle de la grippe porcine, mais car le virus voyage vite, l'Internet est déjà remplis avec des articles...

Auf EDUK-Tour mit Rolf Scheibli...

...waren vor kurzem diese Reisebüroangestellten aus Deutschland, hier bei einer Stippvisite bei Carine Prosper (2.v.r.) im Tourismus Office in Port Mathurin bevor es weiter auf Exkursion zur Ile Cocos ging, dem Vogelreservat und eine der 16 kleinen Inselchen in der Lagune. Untergebracht während ihres 3 tägigen Aufenthaltes hier waren sie u.a. im Hotel Pointe Venus.

As Rolf Scheibli promised some months ago, he was back with a new group of interested travel agency employees from different towns in Germany. Here on a photo taken at the Rodrigues Tourism Office, shortly before visiting Ile Cocos, a natural reserve for sea birds and one of the 16 little islands scattered in the lagoon of Rodrigues. During their 3 days visit, the group was accomodated at Pointe Venus and Cocotiers Hotel. More to Rolf and EDUK-Tours here. When I did the count correctly, it must have been his 70th visit of Mauritius...

So sah sie einst aus...das liegt bestimmt schon 4 Jahre zurück...-

Diese Woche ging es endlich los mit dem Bau....-
This week preparative work for the construction has started....
Es bleibt zu hoffen, dass die Arbeiten erfolgreicher verlaufen, als am ersten Arbeitstag....-
Hopefully work will be carried out more successfully than on the first working day....

Beben registriert unweit von Rodrigues...

Letzte Woche Freitag hat es um 10.45 Uhr ein leichtes Beben der Stärke 5 auf der Richterskala gegeben, 295 km östlich von Rodrigues. Hier auf der Insel haben wir nichts von all dem mitbekommen, es ist nicht das erste Mal, dass Beben registriert wurden, ich erinnere 3 insgesamt innerhalb der letzten 4 Jahre, eins am 24.November 2005, welches 640 km entfernt war, aber auch da spürten wir auf der Insel nichts.
Kleine Anekdote am Rande: Freitag abend gegen 19.00 bekamen wir einen irritierenden Anruf von Bekannten, an manchen Strandabschnitten sei die Polizei dabei vor einem möglichen Tsunami zu warnen.Bei einer echten Gefahr wäre diese Nachricht ca. 9 Stunden zu spät gekommen. Dies zeigt einmal mehr, wie nötig eine klare und transparente Kommunikation zwischen Meteo in Vacaos und den lokalen Behörden ist...Last Friday at 10.45 am a sea quake was registered just 295 km in the east from Rodrigues. Although it was even on Richter scale 5, we didn't feel anything and nothing out of the ordinary was observed, no change of the sea level, no shakes...It was not for the first time, I remember at least 3 similar located quakes (between 350 and 650 km north east from us) during the last 4 years, each time we heard about it one day later as we never saw or felt anything.Sources: week-end and l'express mauritius (12/12 April 2009)

Hmm,Ostern verpasst...We missed Easter...

...und somit gab es auch keine Ostereier für uns. Wie auch immer, wir hoffen, dass bei euch/Ihnen in den Körbchen mehr abgelegt war und dass ihr/Sie die Ostertage genießen konntet. Hier bedeutet Ostern vor allem für die jüngeren Inselbewohner, dass wieder gefeiert und getanzt werden kann, Discoaktivitäten stoppen hier nämlich während der Fastenzeit......and in consequence...no Easter eggs for us...We hope you had some and a nice holiday too, here we celebrate only Easter Sunday and for most of the younger islanders Easter means back to parties and disco, as this usually stops here during the Lent period. Und das sind die großen Schokoladeneier, die in den Tagen zuvor auch auf der Straße von Obsthändlern angeboten werden, bei uns in Rodrigues gibt es seit Jahren die gleiche Marke in 3 verschiedenen Verpackungsgrößen.-
By the way, these are chocolate Easter eggs as sold also on the streets, for years just the same make and always coming in 3 sizes...

Hunde und Nonnen....Dogs and nuns....

Nuns walk past a collapsed house in Onna, a small town some 10km (six miles) from L'Aquila, the epicentre of the quake. A violent earthquake jolted central Italy last Monday killing about 300 people and injuring 1,500 as buildings and homes in a walled medieval town were reduced to rubble.
It was the photo with the nuns I saw first in the blog of a friend but on TV I saw as ususal the dogs searching for survivors, so here they are, they deserve a special treat...

Fruit Bat Festival....alles über Flughunde in Rodrigues

The Rodrigues branch of World Wildlife Mauritius has organized a Bat Festival, during this week the interested public can get a lot of information about bats in general and the island's only endemic mammal, the Rodriguan Fruit Bat in particular. An exhibition is still open until Saturday....In this context, and as we love these wonderful creatures here so much, we have decided to extend the festival, during the whole month we will come back to the topic, giving you information about bats and the work carried out by Wildlife Mauritius. We will show photos and we will refer as well to the latest discussions and research... So don't be surprised to find bats instead of Easter bunnies here ...

Letzten Sonntag in Port Mathurin...Am Palmsonntag nimmt hier jeder zu seinem Kirchgang einen kleine Palmenwedel mit...Ostern naht...Pâques s'approche. Dimanche dernier il y avait Dimanche des Rameaux...On assiste à la messe avec un rameau ...

Easter is coming soon. Last Sunday the Catholic population celebrated Palm Sunday, as the climate is favourable, the devote population comes to church with palm leaves...
