Scotland Yard says 111 officers and five police dogs have been injured in the rioting in London over the past three nights

The most seriously injured dog — called Linpol Luke and known as Obi — suffered a serious head injury after a yob threw a brick. Another police dog, Marshfield Mia, was also injured after being hit by a bottle. "Both dogs were injured on duty on Sunday. On Monday, Minstrel Blaze, Quirk Ruby and Zach all sustained injuries, including broken teeth and cuts from thrown missiles."

As to the horses...

Scotland Yard said mounted police and their horses, though both are very exhausted, have so far not been injured in the riots.

Just for the records...
During the Bristol Riots 1981, 299 police were injured, and at least 65 members of the public. 61 private vehicles and 56 police vehicles were damaged or destroyed. 28 premises were burned and another 117 damaged and looted. 82 arrests were made.

During the recent riots not limited to London anymore: 1 man died after a shooting, 111 police injured, 5 police dogs injured, 563 arrests have been made in London, 100 arrests in Birmingham, as to the damage on vehicles, property and public infrastructure by setting fires and looting...that has still to be assessed.

"The fires burning in London as the most numerous and most intense at one time since the Blitz."

What for...?
