Sonnenfinsternis....Solar eclipse Part 2

"The Year of the Ox began with a solar eclipse. On Monday, Jan. 26th, the same new Moon that marked the Chinese Lunar New Year passed in front of the Sun--dead center--covering 93% of the solar disk. The annular eclipse was visible from a narrow path spanning the Indian Ocean; the sunset end of the path fell across Borneo, Sumatra and Java, where observers saw a fantastic "ring of fire" sink into the sea at the end of the day." Sonnenfinsternis....Solar eclipse Part 1

Auf dieses Foto machte mich ein Freund in Chicago aufmerksam und fragte mich vor 3 Tagen, ob wir das hier bei uns etwa auch sehen können...Daraufhin googelte ich, was das Zeugs hielt, denn na klar, so etwas wollte ich auch mal sehen, einen Feuerkreis um die Sonne herum, hervorgerufen durch eine Sonnenfinsternis...so eine, wie für den am 26. Januar angekündigt...

Der Tag der Tage. Heute ist Neumond. Nur an Neumond kann es eine Sonnenfinsternis geben.
Heute gibt es also die erste des Jahres, und zwar eine ganz besondere, die auch nur am Indischen Ozean verfolgt werden kann, bzw. konnte....denn bei uns ist es schon wieder vorbei und leider kann ich persönlich kein Foto präsentieren, denn obwohl ich ab 12.50 draußen stand und tatsächlch gesehen habe wie der Sonne ein Stück fehlte, ist dies leider nicht bis in meinen Fotoapparat gedrungen...Ich hoffe auf andere, die dieses Phänomen auch beobachtet haben und besser mit ihrer Kamera umgehen können!The first photo above was brought to our attention three days ago by a good friend from Chicago who wanted to know, if we could see such a thing here too ....I googled as crazy- for sure if this was going to happen, we wanted to see it too - a fire circle around the sun caused by a solar eclipse...
To make things short, it's just after 1pm local time Rodrigues and I am a bit disappointed as the eclipse (here quite different from the circle of fire) was visible but I couldn't make it go into my camera... So I hope now that others have been more lucky....
