Die Kamchatka ist nicht nur bekannt für ihre Bären, sondern auch für ihre Vulkane. Und da kürzlich einer spuckte, hier ein paar Bilder...-

The Kamchatka Peninsula is not only known for its bears but also for its volcanoes. And as one erupted some days ago here some pics on that occasion...

Nach 36 Jahren spuckt er wieder, der Plosky Tolbachik Vulkan am 11.12.2012

A volcano in Russia is continuing to spew hot lava for the first time in nearly 40 years.
The Plosky Tolbachik volcano, in the far eastern Kamchatka Peninsula is pouring out an estimated 1,200 tons of lava every second.
The volcano which is in one of the world's most volcanic regions has not erupted since 1976.

Wie fotografiere ich einen Vulkan...?-
How to take a pic of a volcano..?

And as we are already in the Kamchatka Peninsula, here some more pics, captured during one of the numerous eruptions of the Klyuchevskaya Sopka volcano by Dementievskiy Ivan

"Klyuchevskaya Sopka (Ключевская сопка) is a stratovolcano which is at 4,750 meters the highest mountain on the Kamchatka Peninsula of Russia and the highest active volcano of Eurasia. Its steep, symmetrical cone towers about 100 kilometres (60 mi) from the Bering Sea. The volcano is part of the natural UNESCO World Heritage Site Volvanoes of Kamchatka.

Klyuchevskaya's first recorded eruption occurred in 1697, and it has been almost continuously active ever since, as have many of its neighboring volcanoes.

Klyuchevskaya Sopka is considered sacred by some indigenous peoples, being viewed by them as the location at which the world was created. Other volcanoes in the region are seen with similar spiritual significance, but Klyuchevskaya Sopka is the most sacred of these. It is said that when the god Volkov created the world, this was the point at which he held it, and so it remains unfinished, unsealed, thus the volcanic activity.

On October 15th, 2012, the volcano had a weak eruption that stopped the following day. Also a weak thermal eruption occurred on November 29, 2012, then it stopped again, since its neighboring volcanoes are erupting more actively and continuously, taking a major load off of Klyuchevskaya Sopka."(source:wikipedia)
