A little pic before the cake was finally cut...))Heute feierte die Mauritius Wildlife Foundation in Rodrigues mit einer Ausstellung Geburtstag, seit 15 Jahren sind sie auf unserer Insel mit einer Zweigstelle vertreten und haben in diesen Jahren viel bewegt.
Ihre Arbeit hat maßgeblich mit dazu beigetragen, unsere Flughundpopulation zu stärken, aber auch im Bereich Wiederaufforstung und endemische Pflanzen gäbe es eine ganze Menge Aktivitäten aufzuzählen, Rodrigues Besuchern am ehesten bekannt dürfte das kleine Naturreservat in Grande Montagne sein mit seinem angeschlossenen Info-Zentrum.
Auch wir wollen zu diesem Ereignis alles Gute wünschen und uns für die bislang geleistete Arbeit bedanken! -

Today, the Mauritius Wildlife Foundation celebrated its birthday with an exhibition in Rodrigues, for 15 years now they have been represented on our island with a branch office, and during these years, one can say, they have really made a difference. Their work has significantly contributed to strengthening our bat population, but there have also been other notable activities and efforts connected to reforestation and the protection of endemic and endangered species. As to plants tourists may know best the small nature reserve at Grande Montagne with its associated information center.
We too want to wish all the best for this event and future activities, but we also want to express once more how grateful we are for all the good work done so far!
