Immediately after Earth Day, the International Book Day was celebrated on 23 April. This time no pics from Rodrigues, instead some photos from Mainz in Germany.

Several thousand students from all schools in the region have worked hard to create probably the world's longest garland of book covers ever...

Of 39 km length, comprising more than 170,000 bookcovers, all painted by the students themselves...Impressive, isn't it?!!!
