Gleich nach dem Earth Day gab es am 23.4. den Internationalen Tag des Buches. Diesmal keine Bilder aus Rodrigues davon, aber aus Mainz. -Immediately after Earth Day, the International Book Day was celebrated on 23 April. This time no pics from Rodrigues, instead some photos from Mainz in Germany.
Meherere tausend Schüler und Schülerinnen der Region haben im Vorfeld hart gearbeitet um die wohl längste Buchcover-Girlande der Welt zu kreieren.-Several thousand students from all schools in the region have worked hard to create probably the world's longest garland of book covers ever...
Die Girlande hatte eine Länge von 39 km und umfasste über 170 000 selbstgemalte Buchcover, ich finde das war eine ganz wunderbare Aktion, einfach nur beeindruckend...-Of 39 km length, comprising more than 170,000 bookcovers, all painted by the students themselves...Impressive, isn't it?!!!
