A smile in the sky....

...was sent to me this morning by a friend. During the last days I had been searching in vain a photo published last week on December 3 in Le Mauricien under the title "Un sourire de la lune", featuring the rare astronomical phenomenon of a Moon-Venus-Jupiter conjunction. Everywhere in the world this event could be seen, and depending from where photos were taken the angle changed to a more or a less boader smile...And just to make up for not having been aware in Rodrigues about the language of the sky, here a shot taken in Mauritius. I have taken the liberty to upload all smiles found in an album, so that we can come from time to time back when we need seeing one...as the next Moon-Venus-Jupiter conjunction will not come before November 18 in 2052...More photos will be much appreciated...Die seltene Mond-Venus-Jupter Konjunktion, die letzte Woche um den 2.

Other beautiful photos, mainly from Mauritius, can be found in gada's blog -
And again- here all smiles of the moon found so far!
And a special thank you to Dostoy!
