"Saubermachen ist immer gut", meinten die Scouts von Rodrigues Ende Juni und schafften, etwas, das Schule machen sollte. Sie räumten auf, was die Säcke hielten, und mit der Hilfe von Mauritius Wildlife setzten sie sogar noch junge Pflanzen.
Dies ist insofern erwähnenswert, da der Platz am Millenium Square, direkt neben dem Hafen und in unmittelbarer Nähe der Administration, sich meist großer Mengen von Abfall "erfreut", und seit Jahren diesbezüglich von den kommunalen Reinigungskräften grundsätzlich vernachlässigt wird.
Oft habe ich mich darüber aufgeregt, vor allem, wenn ich mit Molly, aber auch schon zu Simbas Zeiten, dort unterwegs war, in der letzten Zeit habe ich Molly dort auch schon nicht mehr freilaufen lassen können, zuviel lag dort herum, was nicht für Hundemägen bestimmt ist.
Eine ganz tolle Initiative, für die ich den Scouts und Wildlife Mauritius hiermit Dank sagen möchte!!!-
"Cleaning is always good,"thought the Rodriguan section of the Scouts by the end of June and managed something exemplary : They cleaned up whatever got into their plastic bags, and with a little hand of Mauritius Wildlife they even did some planting.
This is noteworthy insofar as the place at Millennium Square, next to the harbor and close to the administration, has seen in the past large quantities of waste, for years been neglected in this regard by the local cleaners.
I have often been upset, especially when walking Molly, it is the only place to go with dogs, uniting some green with a little beach, but since recently I have stopped having Molly run free there, too much lying around, what does not belong into a dog's stomach...
So, a really great initiative for which I want to thank the scouts and Wildlife Mauritius from the bottom of my heart!
